The White Oak Library, along with the Marilyn J. Praisner Library, is one of two Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) that serve East County residents. This two-story branch is over 40 years old, but was renovated in 1989. Among the services offered are 18 computers that may be used for surfing the 'Net and two meeting rooms that are available for rent. 

The children's room is a haven for parents and young children with two designated kids computers and "book bundles" that parents can grab and check out in one quick transaction. 

This branch has a self-checkout kiosk where cardholders may check out or check in books and access account information using the barcodes on their MCPL card and on the books.
