Quick facts to start the day.

It's more buses for Montgomery County: The County Council unanimously voted to switch the region's transit plan from light rail to bus rapid transit. A proposed map shows a line going up Route 29.

Weather: Mostly sunny with a high of 46 degrees, according to National Weather Service.

Taking a look at high school choice: Parents at Springbrook High sought the support of the Montgomery County Council of PTA to potentially appeal to the Board of Education to re-think high school choice in the Northeast Consortium.

Something to do tonight: If you're into Irish music, that is. The Institute of Musical Traditions hosts the Bog Band in Takoma Park, a group of middle and high school students.
